After retiring from an 11 year NFL career and receiving his MBA from Columbia University, Patrick Kerney set his sights on athletes and their finances. After forming a consultancy to perform financial presentations and portfolio reviews for aspiring, current and former NFL players, the NFL office brought him on in the role of Vice President, Player Benefits.  This role provided him the opportunity to oversee the investment of NFL player retirement assets, benefit communications, financial literacy and Player Engagement operational oversight. After a short but productive stay at the NFL office, he joined NFC Investments, his personal asset manager since 2006, to place the assets of current and former professional athletes side by side with his own.

Perhaps his greatest differentiation is the client relationship he has had with NFC Investments, who has managed ~90% of his personal assets since June, 2006. In this role Mr. Kerney had oversight responsibilities on ~$3 billion in NFL player retirement assets. He also actively oversaw overhaul of 401k fund offerings and benefit related communications. In addition to this, he oversaw financial literacy programming as well as the construction and execution of the NFL's inaugural Personal Finance Camp. This role also required operational oversight as well as profit & loss and budget management for the NFL's Player Engagement department.
